Home Of The Month

Siobhan Murphy @interiorcurve needs little introduction. She is the kind of Instagram royalty who no longer needs to use her surname!

Siobhan’s style is without question maximalist and we love it! Living in a fabulous Art Deco home in West Yorkshire, Siobhan has worked her interior magic and the results are incredible. I love Siobhan’s passion for colour and we are in no doubt what her favourite colour is! She combines the art deco and Palm Springs vibe so well and it has created a truly joyful result.

The blind that Siobhan has used is unsurprisingly pink and layered up here with the curtains it is so effective in framing the window and creates a stylish backdrop to the cute dressing table. Siobhan picked a faux suede in pastel pink and shows how well a blind coordinating with the décor can be. By continuing the colour palette of the room and also extending it to the windowsill which Siobhan has cleverly painted pink it has given the bedroom a really cohesive, luxury and designer feel. A top interior design tip which Siobhan has used here is to build in a pelmet in matching or complimentary fabric or paper- it all adds to the drama and is a relatively simple DIY project if you want to try something new.

Check out the rest of Siobhan’s house on @interiorcurve and see how
